Dr.Grannum Sant serves as Professor and Chair of Urology, Tufts University School of Medicine (Distinguished Faculty Award) and Urologist-in-Chief, Tufts Medical Center Hospitals in USA. He also hold academic committee leadership positions with the National Institutes of Health (NIH-NIDDK), American Urological Association (AUA), Past-President New England Section AUA, and American Board of Urology (ABU) Examination Committee.

He has published over 128 peer-reviewed publications, 36 book chapters, 2 textbooks (Pathophysiologic Principles of Urology; Interstitial Cystitis), and 10 Urology Journal Supplement Editorships. He has been responsible for the medical affairs launch of Uroxatral for BPH and Eligard for prostate cancer.

He has successfully recruited, built, and led 5 medical affairs teams including 3 US (Urology, Oncology at Sanofi and Rare Diseases at Genzyme) and 2 Global (Rare Genetic Diseases and Cardiovascular (Familial Hypercholesterolemia) at Genzyme including 3 US Medical Science Liaison (MSL) teams (Urology, Rare Genetic Diseases and Familial Hypercholesterolemia).
