Dr Charles Welliver specializes in a variety of urologic disorders affecting men. He is fellowship trained in all aspects of men’s health including treatment of hypogonadism, sexual dysfunction, male factor infertility and benign prostatic hyperplasia. He is an assistant professor of surgery at Albany Medical College in Albany, NY and a staff urologist at the Albany Stratton Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Dr Welliver graduated magna cum laude in biomedical engineering from the University of Rochester and later entered medical school at Stony Brook School of Medicine on Long Island, NY. He completed his surgical internship and urology residency at Albany Medical College and then went to complete additional training specifically in sexual medicine, men’s health and male factor infertility.

He has published articles on a variety of topics in men’s health including publications addressing factors affecting male fertility, erectile dysfunction, low testosterone and sexual rehabilitation after cancer surgery. He has received awards both regionally and nationally for his research along with multiple teaching awards.  He is a reviewer for the Journal of Urology and Fertility and Sterility and reviews journal articles pertaining to fertility for Oakstone Publishing Reviews and hypogonadism for BMJ Best Practice Reviews.
